Things to know before playing:

Aspen is kind of a tutorial level where there isn't much to find other than the parts needed for the first quest which you will find in the Market's community board. 

Sleeping in your home regenerates the forests and markets and only saves items in levels where there is a bed or an airport.

There's a poster with quests in the bulletin board in the Market, there you can unlock new levels by completing the quests.

Crates can only be picked up when closed.

Linseed oil restores wood, Oil-40 restores metal

Restored items are worth more. A complete gun is worth more than an incomplete one. A gun with original parts is worth more than a bubba-d gun.

You can combine weapon parts to a gun receiver without tools (they both need to be restored and you need to hold the part you want to attach to the receiver in your hand, not the other way around)

The red toolbox is used to disassemble parts

To open or close the lid of a crate you need to be looking at the lid and you can only pick up a closed crate.

You can't carry a crate inside of a crate.

To bring items with you to trips from the airport you need to place your items into the white platform thing.
